Jack and Emma

I can't let a week go by without the obligatory photo of my two favorite kids.

 Between he two pictures, one is smiling in each. Put them together and you get two happy kids.

Lucky Me

I was in the backyard yesterday and as the kids were playing, I noticed a bunch of clover on my lawn. I started looking to see if I could find a four leaf clover. I found one in five minutes.

I posted that picture on Facebook and got a lot of likes. Karen Gilmore (our neighbor growing up)  said she has never found one of those in her life. The next day, Emma and I went out to the front lawn and I thought about how special it must be to find one. I started looking again and found not one, but two, very close to each other.

 

I saved them, one of them the last one I let Jack pick and he can keep it. I tried to save one of them in a plastic resin but that didn't go so well. I wanted to preserve it but used the wrong stuff and pretty much encased it in plastic that is opaque, making it very hard to see.

All Done

Emma says a couple words that you can discern every once in a while, "Da", "Ma", "Ack" (Jack). I swear she speaks fluent Korean sometimes the way she says stuff but since I don't speak Korean, I have no idea what she is saying. Its probably something really deep or introspective. Who knows.

I do know that when she is done with eating and wants to get down (not dancing, just get down from the chair), she says, "All Done" fairly clearly. Its soft in the video, but you get the idea.

Sippy Straw

She loves to drink using a straw. I think it's because she tries to emulate Jack and he always drinks using a straw.

Mothers Day

A pic for my Mom - I promised to put more pics up of Emma. Took this one when we went over to see Reet and Jim for Mothers Day on Sunday. Had a great time, played in the back yard and had some burgers, the perfect Sunday!

If People Were Software

 

This is my Dad, me and my son, all three of us share the name John Goodyear. If we were software, our naming convention would be  "v1.0", "v2.0" and "v3.0".  Hence, the shirts. I made these up when the family came up and wanted to get a picture that was special.

Here is a picture with Kenny as v2.1, a slight improvement.
