Making Her Wear Her Bow

This is what I got when I told her to not pull the bow out of her hair, She doesn't like to wear it but needs to because her hair is getting longer and gets in her eyes sometimes. So we put the bow clip in to keep it neater. My Dad used to say we would trip over our lips if we stuck it out like this. I caught myself saying the same thing when she did this.

Glasses

She took my glasses off of me and wanted to wear them. I have tried to get her to wear my glasses a few times but she was never interested, this time, she wanted to play a little dress up I guess.

NC State Fair

My little clown and his two cousins. Boy did we eat some good fair food. I ate one of those giant turkey legs (very moist but salty because it was brined),  fresh corn on the cobb, ice cone, elephant ear and french fries.

Abbie took the kids last night and Kate and I had dinner out like adults. We went to a place called the Red Monkey and had the Lobster BLT, which is a regular BLT but they added lobster meat to it. It was gooood. I ate like a king this weekend!

"Thank You" and "Please"

She is picking up more and more each week. Every time I go through a drive-through I will thank the cashier and then I will hear a little voice from the back "Annkyouuu" (thank you).

Pumpkin Patch

We used to go to Cox Farms when we lived in Virginia. So this year we had to start looking for a new farm to go get our pumpkins and have Fall fun.

We found Granyard Hill Farms, which was a few miles down the road. Abbie and the cousins joined us. The kids played on the hay and talked with goats. After that we spent done time in the corn kernel pit and then a hay ride.

After that we went and picked our pumpkins out in the patch, literally, and "picked" our pumpkins.

It was a great time.
