Thanks for the Easter candy and popcorn, we got it this afternoon and I let the kids open it up right after we got home from school. We had a cookie each and are holding off on the rest for desserts!
Jack liked the box.

First Soccer Practice
Jack had his fist soccer practice this week. He seemed to really enjoy the running and kicking the ball. He is pretty coordinated and didn't trip over the ball once. He even had a second to say hello to his fans and thank them for coming out to see him. He likes his team mates.
I may have to volunteer next year and be a soccer dad just like my father did for us when we were kids. I haven't run into any of those parents that are "go, go, go" and yell about everything. I will keep you informed if/when I do.
Go Sharks!

Emma
I took out an older camera the other day to check the battery and if the lens was working well and snapped this of Emma smiling. What a difference a nice lens makes - I'm so used to taking shots with my iPhone its ridiculous. What a cutie!

Field Trip to the Science Museum
I accompanied Jack on a class field trip to the North Carolina Science Museum in Raleigh. I drive alone because I was late in signing up to be a chaperone. I parked around the corner and waited outside for the bus to arrive. On my way, I ran in to the Governor, Pat McCrory and said hello.
We went inside after all the kids got off the bus and broke up into groups of four. After that it was about 2.5 hours if exploring everything the museum had to offer. The kids had a great time and I learned a lot about North Carolina and the vast geology if the state.
The kids liked the dinosaur stuff and the butterfly exhibit. A few snakes and turtles, too.
Before I knew it, it was time to go so I got all the kids a little toy from the gift shop since the museum is free. Definitely going back!

Literally Losing the First Tooth
Jack lost his first tooth this week. He came in and asked if it was gone and sure enough, it was missing. He couldn't find it since it happened some time during the night. I checked his bed methodically and his carpet as well. I think he swallowed it when it came out.
He was worried that he wouldn't get his money from the Tooth Fairy suggested he write her a note.
It's hard to read, but it says:
Dear tooth fary
I lost my tooth I can't find it can you still give me the money?
Love Jack

Thanks for the Goodies!
We got the Cheryl's Cookies in the mail today for Valentine's Day. The kids got a cookie each after dinner and love them! Thanks Mom and Dad! (GG & Papa John)
