Penalty Box
We have a little foot stool that is hollow and we keep some plushy Angry Birds in it. Emma liked to take the cover off and take the birds out but then she decided to get in and sit down. This is her newest game. What a creative kid. Kids see the world so differently, everything is a place to hide or crawl into.
Pasghetti Girl
We went to Noodle last night for dinner and thought we would try the spaghetti for her since she is such a pasta-lover! She ate it up like it was going out of style. Every fork full she would slurp down and suck the noodles in like a pro. Messy as it was, it was fairly easy to clean her up. We thank Noodle & Company for having extra napkins on hand to deal with the situation. She also left behind a few stragglers below the chair that wiggled away but I cleaned those up on the way out.

Well, well, well, look who is walking!
We are going to go and start playing a zone defense since she is mobile, now. She has been taking ones and two-steps but just this weekend she started doing much longer walks and has really taken to it. She is very happy with this new skill she has acquired. We, however, are reminded of how quick she is growing.

First Signs of Spring
As I was taking Emma out to the car I noticed a flash of color out of the corner of my eye. It turned out to be the first Krokus, which will pop up usually in very early March but with the mild winter we had, it has decided to poke through and brighten the front lawn with its brilliance.
The Krokus were planted by a previous owner (10+Yeats ago) and now have been redistributed around the lawn by various wildlife such as chipmunks or absent-minded squirrels.
My joy at the first sign of Spring was tempered though, because a second sign of Spring had poked through the lifeless lawn to reveal itself. The Dandelion. This is a flower which fills me with a slight dread over the eventual lawn maintenance of digging, mulching, mowing, spraying and trimming.
Oh well, my exuberance lasted a whole 3 seconds on that one.
